Jake Shoes Altrincham
Last Monday I visited for the first time Altrincham, I have drove through a couple of times, but I never stopped there. This time I went for a new shoe shop opening!! And as you know I love trainers and I couldn’t miss this event hosted by Jake Shoes.
This is the third shop opening from this company that complement the one that Jake Shoes has in the Manchester Arndale shopping center and the other one in Stockport.
Jake is an independently owned and family run company set up in 1975 and they stock a huge range of ladies' shoes, men's and children's shoes with top brands such as ugg, vans, converse, hunter and dr. Martens. I have visited before a couple times in Manchester and the best thing is that you can find good products with high quality that you cannot find in other stores.
For Men
The men's range at Jake´s covers everything from waterproof Timberland boots and Hunter wellies to steel toe capped Dr Martens and dressy shoes for suits.
This new shop is located at Unit 24, George Street and looks amazing, it is double the size from the one in Manchester. The design of the shop is beautiful, and the range of products again are huge. They have funky décor that range from an old tobacco sign to a pool table at the “man cave”.
Not many shoe shops leave much space for men, but this new shop has a full big corner devoted to men, enough to make any shoe lover dreams comes true. You can find trainers, boots, casual shoes, smart shoes, sandals, slip on´s and so much more.
During the launch party there were all fun and quirky games, like a popcorn machine with fresh popcorns, drinks and the start of the party: a claw machine full of presents!!
I got a pair of Converse All Star Low White Canvas, a “classic of the classic” product! No shoe is more iconic than the Chuck Taylor All-star. This vintage style features a white canvas based upper and classic white rubber sole, and I love them. It is a product that you can use daily with any look, also good if you want to go out for a drink with friends, you can throw them on in the summer with a pair of shorts, or just enjoy a winter walk around the park.
