My top Favourite Cocktails
Fruity, sour, sweet or classic? What kind of cocktail do you prefer? With the massive lists of cocktails, nowadays we can be lost, are you one of these who always pick the same cocktail or in contrast do you prefer to ask the bartender for their recommendations? Do we really trust their knowledge of our tastes and favourite ingredients?
Whether if you prefer an Old Fashioned or something more innovative, in Manchester there with bars with a cocktail list for everyone.
Personally I prefer to try new flavours and cocktails, but also I enjoy a classic one. My favourite cocktels are the fruity ones, you can recognize them by the coulours and the flavour and there's nothing wrong with colorful drinks decorated with pineapple wedges and why no umbrellas! Sometimes we just need something sweet and everybody loves a good fruity drink.
1. MOJITO
Yes, I have been speaking about fruity cocktails but my favourite is this classic one. The mojito is one of the world's most popular cocktails, and no wonder - it's delicious!
This Cuban classic has Bacardi white rum, fresh lime, young mint leaves, soda water, sugar and crushed ice. Very simple, refresing and tasty!
The Mojito is the most popular cocktail in Britain's pubs and bars and I can uderstand why.
2. PONR START MARTINI
What we can expect with this name? Just a fantastic cocktel packed full of fruity flavour and passion! The Pornstar Martini was created by Douglas Ankrah, a recognize bartender who started working as a bar-back at the Hard Rock Café in Park Lane.
This Coctail is delighful mixture of vanilla vodka, balanced by the sharpness of the passionfruit and is complemented by a shot of prosecco on the side. I have to say that I could drink it every night (only when I am out!) but many people can find it too sweet.
3. Lightbulb moment
From the Alchemist, one of my favorite places for cocktails in Manchester. This signature cocktail is a blend of Tanqueray gin, Pimms, ginger beer, raspberry, lemon, mint. An angry, crazy and creative cocktail teacher dream full of summer with those refreshing touches.
What makes this cocktail special is the way it is served, it does not need to be described just see the image below.
